Projects to Boost Innovation and Reduce Electricity Costs
Ontario is now accepting applications for the Smart Grid Fund to help improve the delivery of electricity to families and businesses, reduce costs and create jobs.
This round of funding from the Smart Grid Fund supports two types of projects: pilot projects by businesses and other entities that seek to commercialize new and innovative smart grid technologies, and deployment projects that help Ontario utilities acquire and install grid modernizing solutions.
Organizations including companies and local distribution companies are invited to apply online on or before March 23, 2018 at 9 a.m. EST.
Ontario’s plan to create fairness and opportunity during this period of rapid economic change includes a higher minimum wage and better working conditions, free tuition for hundreds of thousands of students, easier access to affordable child care, and free prescription drugs for everyone under 25 through the biggest expansion of medicare in a generation.
